… haven’t seen my old friend Ken in 15 years, since our old TV days… he came for a visit today… having fun showing him Brevard and all the waterfalls… like having the best ever girls weekend… great talks and trying to figure out life…
… beautiful morning for a run in Pisgah National Forest this Thanksgiving Day 2011… I have so much I am thankful for!… not the least of which is being able to live in this wonderful corner of the world… xo

… yep, the fabulous producers of the Brevard reality series… hamming it up at today’s photo shoot… (that’s an Oscar I’m holding…. wait, should be an Emmy!)… :-) (thanks, Kathy Hardy for the pic!) I’ll post the group pics when I get them!
… I was in Sao Paulo, Brazil updating the ILB blog… getting a Brazilian bikini from my friend, Helo (the Girl-from-Ipanema)… and sitting on her sofa talking about… (oh, my poor, poor Dad… he still turns red when people ask him about it)… :-)
… I love that our news cycle is such (very slow) that we only have enough news for two newspaper issues each week… and I love that I never get the Monday paper on Monday, it comes on Tuesday… and I love that the biggest headline story in today’s paper (I mean yesterday’s paper) is a big log jam on the French Broad River…. :-)
… Marlaine is in the hospital (who’s going to keep me organized now?)… and Brevard Animal Hospital called to say that Lucas’ ashes are ready to pick up (“Lucas is here for you to pick up” is what they said)… not sure *when* I’ll be ready to do that… :-( ….. definitely, definitely a Brazilian wedge day today…
… the old saying “nothing good ever happens in a dark alley” is definitely not true here tonight… I found a wonderful chocolate-covered Oreo screaming for me to eat it…. okay, two… :-) Thanks, Marlaine! xo
