… thank you to the Transylvania County Choral Society and Dr. David Gresham (conductor) for today’s all-day training and coaching workshop with the All County Middle School Chorus… the performance tonight was incredible… wonderful for the community (free concert) and great experience for the kids to be able to work with Dr. Gresham…
… sadly, one Matt’s chorus members and friend, Ashley, wasn’t able to be here tonight… she’s battling bone cancer… there’s an effort at Brevard Middle School to raise money to help the family… if you’re interested in helping, let me know and I’ll let you know where to send donations… :-(
… my friend Carolyn flew in today from D.C. and our first stop in Brevard on the way to the house: O.P. Taylor’s… where John Taylor stopped Carolyn and told her she looked like a nun and took this photo… :-)
… stopped by the place that had the Flinstone bed sitting out front for the longest time… went in and looked around and talked to the owner (the Flinstone bed was dis-assembed in the back)… these beds are $750 each… he says he’s trying to do some festivals out back starting in May, with vendors and music, etc…
.. congrats to Sean Conner, winner of the send-me-your-favorite-Brevard-photo contest… I loved, loved, loved the photos he sent… in particular, these two… so, Sean gets his very own “I Love Brevard” t-shirt to proudly wear and show his big love for Brevard… :-) thanks, Sean!

… Marlaine will kill me if I post one of the photos I took of her and I wish to stay alive, so I will post this photo of her present from me… I got it at Main Street Limited… since nobody it for me at Christmas (I wanted it!) I bought it for Marlaine… xoxo… I’m a wonderful fried and forgot to bring her birthday cake to the restaurant, so celebration of her birthday will continue this week!
… so happy we have a Tractor Supply now… I walked the aisles today and remembered how I used to live in Tractor Supply when we lived in Nashville and had horses… fun to see all the products I used to buy… :-)

… the 1st annual TC Arts Performing Arts Talent Competition was tonight, and Claire Griffin was 1st Place winner… she did a beautiful job singing… it was great fun to be a judge and see all the incredible talent in these kids!
… my fellow judge, Rick Slone of Executive Planners (they sponsored the talent competition), presenting Claire with her trophy and $100 check…
… Ali Carter sang Billy Joel’s “Vienna” and won 2nd Place…
… The Perfect Fourth barbershop quartet (Rachael, Abby, Casey and Ashleigh) won 3rd Place…
