… so, this seems like a good place to regroup after filing a police report :-)  There seems to be a lot more crime here in Asheville than in our beloved Brevard!

I was lucky enough to get to enjoy a Lazoom tour (can’t believe I’ve lived here this long and have never been on one)… they are so much fun… I highly recommend them for a fun afternoon!

… a beautiful cab and delicious crab cakes after a long day! ;-)

… sharing deviled eggs, corn fritters, spinach salad with brie/apple/pecans/red onion… perfect!

Starting October 22nd (and running through November 11), the WNC Military History Museum is presenting an exhibit in the historic lobby of the Aethelwold building called, “Operation Armed Forces.” The exhibit will contain historical artifacts of newspaper articles, personal items, weaponry,  military uniforms and more… all to honor those who have served in our military.

Everyone who moves to Brevard needs to learn where McCall’s farm is… so today I showed Al & Carol where to get the best sweet corn! ;-)

…wonderful dinner with my sweet guy! :-)

… go in and check out the totally remodeled Theophilus… as if I need any excuse to go in there!  :-)

… hike up to Daniel Ridge Falls like I did today… perfect way to spend my birthday… and gorgeous weather!  :-)

… listen to great live music every night of the week at The Quarry (except Sunday when they’re closed)… tonight was Paul Jones (classical & jazz guitar)… terrific!

… try one of the new chocolate-covered carmel peanut pretzel sticks at Downtown Chocolates… I didn’t try one, but they look great!  :-)

…. check out the large collection of outhouses in the lobby of the Transylvania Times…  :-)

… get goose eggs at a local farm and make a really great omelet…  that’s what Dixie here is planning on doing…

… save someone’s life!… like Dean St. Marie did this weekend… he and Martha Jo were on on a date when they happened upon this scene, and Dean pulled the guy from the car and saved his life… yeah, no big deal!… :-)

… get you some Brevard art by local artists… like these “Brevard Series” folk art prints from reality series cast member, Carol MacAllister…

… plan your next skinny-dipping outing as we did tonight… or, in my case, my first skinny-dipping outing…  :-)

… visit our favorite barber shop (West Main Barber Shop) at 70 West Main Street downtown…. it’s like stepping back in time (go there and you’ll know what I mean)… Matt’s haircut looks great!

… grab a milkshake at Rocky’s with someone you love…  :-)

… spend a Saturday afternoon guitar pulling with great original music written right here in Brevard…  :-) 

… get up early enough to see the gorgeous sunrises we have here…  xo
