Last month, when Matt was invited to audition and perform with about 100 other middle school student singers in Winston Salem, I remember him returning to the hotel one night and telling me about this touching moment they experienced while taking a break between voice coaching sessions. One of the other singers, a blind boy named Michael, sat down at the piano and started playing during the break. During the second song he played, Matt and the other students started singing spontaneously. Someone caught it on video (here). Very sweet and beautiful…
