This page—http://byways.org/explore/byways/77229/places/78362 gives the location of the archway, just west of US-64 and US-280 intersection on US-280. I think this (https://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=N+35.274%C2%B0+W+82.707%C2%B0&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=66.154443,100.371094&vpsrc=6&ie=UTF8&ll=35.274549,-82.707168&spn=0.002128,0.003063&t=m&z=19&layer=c&cbll=35.274573,-82.707278&panoid=TUUSO5VBnFIPqD4JpXFAig&cbp=12,8.43,,0,2.68) is all that remains.
It’s at the entrance to Pisgah Forest on 276. The arch is gone, but some of the columns remain. It’s just past Dolly’s Ice Cream.
